Parking on campus is designed to give students flexible options, whether you're commuting
daily or visiting between classes. UNT offers a range of permit types, well-marked
lots across campus, and tools like the UNT Parking Portal to help you manage your permit, citations, and real-time parking information. This
section will guide you through how parking works, where you can park, and what to
expect so you can get where you need to go with confidence.
Eagle Permit Gives access to designated Eagle and remote lots across campus. Ideal for those who
want to park closer to academic buildings.
Remote Permit + DCTA Provides access to remote lots located on the edges of campus. A cost-effective option
with frequent shuttle service to campus.
Off-Campus Parking + DCTA Commuters may park at approved off-campus locations and ride a DCTA bus onto campus.
This is a convenient option that avoids campus traffic and parking congestion. One
of these options is the Med Park station. From there, students can park for free and
ride the Colorado Express line to campus for free. Connect routes are also free with
UNT ID.
Premium Parking (hourly parking)
If you'd like to park on campus for a short period of time, you can find any of our
hourly spaces that are marked with a Premium Parking application sign. You can either
download the Premium Parking application in advance or scan the QR code on the sign.
Resident Reserved Permit Assigned based on your residence hall’s zone (Zone 1 or Zone 2). This permit provides
access to a specific residential lot that is not oversold, ensuring a guaranteed space.
Resident Lot 20 Permit Provides access to Lot 20, a dedicated residential parking area located near select
housing communities. This lot is not oversold.
Remote Permit A great option for residents who don’t use their vehicle often. Remote permits allow
you to park at the DATCU Stadium lots and ride the DCTA shuttle back to campus, so you don’t have to walk long distances.
Premium Parking (hourly parking)
If you'd like to park on campus for a short period of time, you can find any of our

Students will be able to use any ADA parking spot in permit controlled (not hourly)
lots on campus with the combination of any valid parking permit and an ADA placard.
ADA parking on campus depends on whether you have a valid UNT parking permit and the
type of ADA credential you display. Drivers with a state-issued ADA license plate
or placard and a valid UNT permit may park in ADA spaces located in any permit-controlled lot and
anywhere in F/S, Eagle or remote lots. If you do not have a UNT permit, you may still use ADA parking—however, you must park in hourly ADA spaces and pay the posted rate. Vehicles without a state-issued ADA plate or placard are
not permitted to park in ADA spaces under any circumstances.
