Mobile Bike Shop is a not-for-profit entity partnered between UNT Transportation Services & the We Mean Green Fund.

The bike shop runs Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it now has a permanent location between the GAB and Sycamore Hall. Come by for at-cost bike parts and services!

Bike Safety Tips

  • Ride with the flow of traffic.
  • Obey all traffic laws.
  • Use a helmet and safety gear.
  • Wear neon or bright colors-they help with visibility during day, too.
  • Alert pedestrians that you're about to pass by saying "Excuse me" or "Passing on your left/right."
  • Watch for vehicles turning out of driveways or opening doors.

Bicycle Theft Prevention

Through a partnership with the We Mean Green Fund and UNT Police, UNT provides free U-locks to students who engrave their bicycles with a state or UNT ID number. Engraving helps return recovered bikes to their owners.

Students can participate by bringing their UNT ID, state-issued ID, and bike to the UNT Police Department at 1700 Wilshire (across from Mozart Hall). For questions, call 940-565-3000 or contact Cpl. David Causey at David.Causey@unt.edu.
